Death Doula/Amicus

doula.jpg

In the past, non-medicalised care for the dying was offered by the family.

A doula is a personal companion, someone to walk with you, someone to support and advocate for your choices, someone to be there every step of the way.

And much like when maternal care is provided at a birth, a death doula offers a similar service for those that are passing.

Supporting families with vigil and process, with a personal amicus by your side.

Definition: Anam Cara

Anam Cara is a phrase that refers to the Celtic concept of the "soul friend" in religion and spirituality.
